French Networks to Share Rural 3G RAN for 3G 900Mhz Network
Nokia Siemens Networks has announced that it will upgrade the rural network owned by French mobile network, SFR as part of a plan to then share the infrastructure with Orange and Bouygues Telecom. The project is also the first example of 3G (HSPA+ at 900 Mhz) Radio Access Network (RAN) sharing. more

Ericsson Wins Swiss HSPA Expansion Contract
Ericsson has signed an agreement with the Swiss operator Sunrise to expand its WCDMA/HSPA network in a number of cities across Switzerland. Under the three-year agreement, Ericsson will be the key supplier of radio access network equipment to expand the existing WCDMA/HSPA network of Sunrise. more
