New CDMA handsets from Kyocera

The 1135 is an entry-level CDMA 1X handset. The Kyocera 1135 comes standard with 25 ringers; productivity tools including calculator, contact directory, alarm clock and stopwatch; and is equipped with two-way SMS messaging (dependent on services available and purchased from carrier). The Kyocera 1135 will be available in April 2002. The Kyocera 1135 is a stylish, lightweight handset with a comfortable ergonomic design and easy-to-use navigation keys. The phone measures approximately 12 cm x 4.8 cm x 2.4 cm, weighs approximately 123 grams, and provides up to 3.8 hours of talk time with standard lilon battery, and up to six days of stand-by time based on user settings and feature use. It is a trimode phone, operating on CDMA800/1900, and analogue networks. more

Kyocera launches three new CDMA handsets

Kyocera Wireless has introduced the Kyocera 2200 series, operating on CDMA2000 1X. The phones are expected to reach the consumer market in the fourth quarter of this year. The Kyocera 2255 features a Brilliant Blue backlit display and keypad. Both are trimode digital phones, operating on CDMA PCS (1900 MHz), CDMA cellular (800 MHz) and analog cellular networks. Enhanced features include Internet access, two-way short messaging, voice-activated dialing, four games, predictive text entry, and productivity tools including voice memo, calculator, contact directory, alarm clock, and stopwatch. The phones measure approximately 12 cm x 4.8 cm x 2.4 cm, weigh approximately 123 grams, and provide up to 3.8 hours of talk time and up to 6 days of standby time in digital mode. more
