US Regional Carrier Selects Nortel for CDMA Expansion

Texas based wireless network, Pocket Communications has launched a new network to serve markets in the U.S. Northeast plus expanding the capacity of its South Texas wireless network with 3G CDMA technology from Nortel Networks. Pocket is now offering service to new subscribers in parts of Connecticut and Massachusetts, and will be launching its service in parts of New York state in 2009.  more

Nortel Wins Chinese CDMA Expansion Contract

Nortel has been selected by China Telecom (CTC) as a key vendor in the evolution of its CDMA network in seven provinces. As part of the expansions and modernization of the networks, Nortel will supply Enhanced Base Station Controllers and Base Stations designed and built with unique innovations in Power Amplifiers and Transceivers.  more
