Sony Reported to be Working on Playstation Mobile Phone
Sony is again rumoured to be considering a game station/cell phone combo thought to be based on the Sony playstation platform, reports Reuters, citing the Japanese Nikkei newspaper. Sony is expected to set up a dedicated project team to develop the new product, which combines Sony Ericsson phones with Sony games technology within the next couple of months, the newspaper added. more

Sony Ericsson Denied Playstation Brand - Expects Full Year Loss in 2009
Despite posting a loss for 2008, Sony Ericsson expects that new products and ongoing efficiencies will help the firm to return to profitability in the second half of this year. The firm has typically launched 30-40 new handsets each year, but will cut that to somewhere in the region of 25-32 phones this year. more

iPhone Showing High Wi-Fi Usage Rates in the USA and UK
Mobile advertising agency, AdMob has highlighted growing Wi-Fi usage in the US and the UK in its November Metrics Report. Worldwide iPhone requests grew 52 percent month over month to 359 million in November, giving the iPhone 6.3 percent of total requests. In the US the iPhone is now the top device with 9.9 percent of requests. more
