Vodafone teams up with Sony for wireless games
Vodafone has signed an agreement with Sony's playstation computer games division to develop future interaction between cell phones and the Sony playstation entertainment center. Initially, the companies will work to enable the cell phones to be connected to the playstations, and receive tips on the games via SMS or WAP. Long term, the companies are looking to embed games into the phones for use on 3G networks." more

A group of eight companies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a method of linking cell phones to the Sony playstation games console. The companies are NTT DoCoMo, Sony, KPN Mobile, Telecom Italia Mobile, AT&T Wireless, Hutchison 3G UK, Hutchison Telephone Company and South Koreas KG Telecom. The group is still deciding which services will be made available on cell phones." more
