Andrew Joins Chinese 3G Standards Group

Andrew Corporation has been elected as a new member of the TD-SCDMA Industry Alliance. The alliance is a voluntary social organization of approximately 25 companies and government institutions devoted to advancing the commercialization of China's homegrown TD-SCDMA (Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access) wireless standard and helping create a multi-supplier environment that uses the technology. more

Andrew expands Chinese antenna production

Andrew Corporation says that it has increased its manufacturing capabilities and engineering design workforce in Suzhou, China, to better support customers with local production of base station antennas for current and next generation wireless networks. Andrew's Suzhou manufacturing facility has been expanded by 40%, along with a significant increase to the size of the engineering design team that will increase support for 3G and TD-SCDMA technology deployments in China. more
