3 UK Switches 2G Roaming Contract

Hutchison 3G UK has swapped its existing GSM roaming agreement in the UK with O2 for rival operator, Orange. The new agreement follows the completion of an auction for 3's national roaming business. Orange orders mobile music encoder

Coding Technologies has announced that Orange UK has included the company's aacPlus audio codec into Orange's full track mobile music download service dubbed "Music Player". Coding Technologies' aacPlus has proven in several independent tests to provide the highest audio quality at the lowest possible bit rates, and has been selected by 3GPP as the standard codec for high quality audio delivery. aacPlus has recently been integrated into Orange's latest mobile music player software platform, on which the operator's Music Player service offering is built. more

MMS - Following the Pattern
