Fitch Affirms Singtel's & Optus' Debt Ratings

Debt ratings agency, Fitch has affirmed Singapore's SingTel and its Australian subsidiary, optus' Long-term foreign currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) at 'A'. The Outlook remains Stable. At the same time, Fitch has affirmed SingTel's and optus' outstanding senior unsecured bonds at 'A'.  more

Crown Castle Buys Australian Tower Assets

Crown Castle Australia has purchased 140 mobile towers from the local arm of Vodafone for an undisclosed amount - but thought to be in the region of AU$45 million (US$39 million). According to Roger Hawke Crown CastleĆ's managing director, adding the towers to its existing portfolio allows Crown to further support its customers as Crown expands its wireless networks across Australia.  more

Australian Operator Petitons to be Able to Sell the iPhone

After being spurned by Apple for the 3G iPhone launch in Australia, Hutchison 3G (3) has decided to set up a public petition which it hopes will persuade Apple to change it's mind. The operator has set up a page on their website which they want their customers to sign.  more

Softbank to Sell Apple's iPhone in Japan This Year
