Foxconn Full-Year Profits Drop 83%

Foxconn International Holdings - the mobile phone manufacturing division of Taiwan's giant Hon Hai Precision Industry has reported a net loss for the second half of last year, which dragged its full year profit down by 83.% to US$121 million - compared with US$721 million a year earlier.  more

Intel and the WiMAX Forum Working on Affordable WiMAX Devices for India

At a recent conference, Sriram Viswanathan, Intel vice president and general manager of the WiMAX Program Office, announced that the company is working with Indian service providers and device manufacturers to help bring WiMAX-ready notebooks and netbooks to the India market segment mid-2009. Additional information on specific oem systems and devices will be announced in the coming months.  more
