Tesco Expanding UK Mobile Phone Business

Nortel Software Upgrade Reduces GSM Base Station Power Consumption

Nortel is launching a "Smart Power Management" software platform that the company says helps reduce radio network power consumption in GSM networks and delivers significant energy and cost-savings for mobile operators. O2 Germany to Upgrade Network to Support 28Mbps Data Download Speeds

Telefónica o2 Germany has announced plans to upgrade its network to HSPA+, and start offering peak download speeds of up to 28Mbps in the second half of this year. The network upgrade will initially occur in Munich - where o2 has its headquarters. more

Telefonica: ICTs can reduce 15% of global emissions by 2020
