O2 Expecting New iPhone Model within Months

The UK operator, o2 is reported to be planning to cut the retail price of Apple's iPhone in preparation for the launch of a replacement model in June or July. The UK trade magazine, Mobile Today reported that the operator will drop the price of the 16GB 3G iPhone to free on its cheaper tariffs to clear stocks.  more

UK Selling 27,000 Apple iPhone's Per Week

The 3G iPhone is achieving a market share in the UK handset market of between 4-6%, despite still being exclusive to just one mobile operator in the country. Sources told the UK trade magazine, Mobile Today that the company is stilling around 27,000 iPhone's per week - although that is down on the 50,000 per week sold when the handset was initially launched.  more

O2 UK Offers Apple iPhone on Pre Pay Tariffs

o2 UK has announced that it is to offer the Apple 3G iPhone on a Prepay tariff in a couple of weeks time. The  8GB model will be sold for £349.99 and £399.99 for the 16GB model. Prepay customers will also receive inclusive unlimited data and Wi-Fi for 12 months following activation, which company values at £120.  more

Czech T-Mobile Sold 5,000 iPhones Since Local Launch

PRAGUE -(Dow Jones)- T-Mobile Czech Republic, a Czech unit of Deutsche Telekom's, Thursday said it has sold more than 5,000 iPhones and expects all three local cellular operators to sell some 50,000 Apple smart phone units by year-end.  more
