NXP Propels NFC with World's First Industry Standard Chip

Semiconductor firm, nxp has unveiled what it says is the world's first truly industry standard Near Field Communication (NFC) controller, delivering a platform for handset manufacturers and operators to introduce NFC devices and services. The NGMN Alliance Oulines Development Plans for Next Year

The NGMN Alliance - a group of network operators - says that it has defined its roadmap for the year ahead following a meeting of all its partners. The purpose of this forum was to ensure that the vision of the NGMN Alliance, namely, realisation of the global mobile information society with its many benefits for the end users, is on track.
