DoCoMo gets smaller 3G basestations
Panasonic Mobile Communications has started shipping to DoCoMo its outdoor-use Small Wireless Base Station Equipment for 3G mobile phone service, FOMA. This equipment was co-developed with NTT DoCoMo in order to achieve faster enhancement of further product quality of areas required by NTT DoCoMo. Utilizing its technologies including high-density mounting technology, pre-distortion type small amplifiers, newly developed heat discharge and water-proof methods, PMC has realized further miniaturization/light weight and power-saving/low-cost compared with conventional equipment. This is most suitable for low traffic areas due to easy outdoor installation. more
