Nortel Wins Czech GSM-R Expansion Contract

Czech Railways has selected nortel GSM-R technology to provide wireless communications to the 207 km Czech section of the International Railway Corridor IV between Austria and Poland. nortel partner Kapsch CarrierCom will supply and deploy the network. Nortel, Kapsch CarrierCom Extend Mobile Broadband Services for mobilkom austria

Mobilkom austria has started using an enhanced network based on a IMS-ready Mobile Switching Center (MSC) solution supplied by Kapsch CarrierCom and nortel. The companies have completed the first phase of the project in Austria and work has already begun on the Liechtenstein and Slovenia upgrades.  more
