Research In Motion Accuses Nortel of Blocking Bids for its Wireless Assets
BlackBerry manufacturer, Research In Motion ("RIM") has lashed out at Nortel Networks, accusing it of deliberately blocking attempts to buy assets from the bankrupt telecoms vendor. RIM says that it sought to be qualified as a qualified bidder in Nortel's auction bidding process for the Wireless Business, but was told it could be qualified only if it promised not to submit offers for other Nortel assets for a period of one year. In seeking to impose this condition, Nortel and its advisors were allegedly aware of RIM's desire to purchase other Nortel assets. more

Nortel Sells Enterprise Unit to Avaya for $475 Million
Nortel Networks has inked a deal to sell its phone systems business to Avaya for US$475 million.
