USA greenfield LTE network, LightSquared has announced that Qualcomm is integrating L-Band LTE technology in its mainstream chipset roadmap. Qualcomm has also developed a satellite air interface technology called EGAL (Enhanced Geostationary Air Link), which enables the satellite mode of operation in mobile devices. Qualcomm is adding L-Band LTE/and EGAL to standard Qualcomm products, including its MDM9600 chipset - the world's first LTE multi-mode solution. more

Continental and Nokia to Embed Mobile Connectivity into Vehicles
Automotive supplier, Continental and nokia have announced a joint-concept that will enable drivers and passengers to connect, display and control mobile phone applications via an in-vehicle dashboard display. New Technology To Integrate Smartphones Into Car Infotainment Systems
nokia has demonstrated a new technology that enables an in-car navigation screen to be connected to a conventional smartphone and act as its surrogate display. Once connected the full range of smartphone features, services and applications are available through the high resolution screens and audio systems embedded in the car.
