Nokia Gets Exemption from Paying Music Royalty Levies
nokia has been exempted from paying copyright feees to the Hungarian music collections society, Artisjus, but only because a court found that that Artisjus' procedures were unfair and unbalanced. At the same time, the court ordered nokia to pay almost HUF 6 million (US$27,800) to Artisjus in levy for memory cards for the period between 2002 and 2007. more

nokia has stepped up its legal battle with Apple and today filed claims in the UK High Court, Dusseldorf and Mannheim District Courts in Germany and the District Court of the Hague, Netherlands, alleging that Apple infringes nokia patents in many of its products sold in these countries, including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. more
