Nokia May Outsource Mobile TV Development Work
Nokia is reported to be considering canceling its in-house development of DVB-H chips for Mobile TV handsets and outsource its supply requirements. The local DigiTimes news publication said that "chipmakers, including Texas Instruments (TI), DiBcom, Newport Media and Siano Mobile Silicon, are indicated as potential partners for the DVB-H chips with Nokia" citing unnamed sources in Taiwan. more

Several major telecoms firms have jointly announced their support for a Mobile TV implementation profile developed within the Broadcast Mobile Convergence Forum (bmcoforum).
