Nokia Wins Turkish Network Contract

Nokia and Turkish mobile operator AVEA have signed a three-year framework agreement for the deployment of the Nokia MSC Server 3GPP compliant mobile softswitch. Nokia demos IP multimedia over CDMA networks

Nokia says that it has successfully demonstrated live IP multimedia applications based on its 3GPP2/3GPP-compliant IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) over a commercial CDMA 2000 network. Nokia says that it is the first company to complete this demonstration, broadening its IMS capabilities to include CDMA in addition to the evolutions of GSM technology. more
