Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom Orders Next-Gen IMS Platform
Nokia Siemens Networks has sealed a deal with Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom for its Next Generation Network IMS (NGN IMS). This is the first contract award from Chunghwa for its five-year NGN plan. Nokia Siemens Networks will deliver to Chunghwa infrastructure and services as part of its IMS Core solution, and will also provide its consumers and business customers VoIP and fixed softswitching solutions. These should enable Chunghwa to be the first operator in Asia-Pacific to introduce IMS-based VoIP services. more
