Harris Stratex Networks Opens Network Monitoring Center
Harris Stratex Networks has commissioned a new network operations center (NOC) at its Morrisville, NC-based headquarters. The NOC is designed to manage and monitor network infrastructure, including various subscriber access, 4G/WiMax access, IP backhaul and core network technologies, as well as network elements providing energy, security and surveillance controls. The center monitors customer networks to identify network problems before they can impact business functions or productivity, and seeks to resolve issues remotely from the NOC or by dispatching technicians to customer sites. more

China Unicom Launches Unicom Push Mail Powered by SEVEN
Mobile push email vendor, SEVEN has announced China UnicomÃ's launch of a push email service. SEVEN established a local network operations center (NOC), to support China Unicom in launching the service on its network. SEVEN says that it is the only foreign mobile email provider to address this growing market by establishing a NOC in China. more

Nokia Siemens Networks has won a US$150 million contract from India's Idea Cellular to build and provide managed services for a Greenfield GSM network in Bihar.
