NEC Wins Mobile Backhaul Contract in Indonesia

nec has won a contract with Indonesia's PT Indosat to implement a mobile backhaul IP migration project that utilizes existing networks to transfer systems into the latest IP structure. Italy's Wind Orders Point-to-Point Wireless Platform

nec and Sumitomo Corp. have signed a framework contract with Italian mobile phone operator Wind for the supply of nec's point-to-point wireless access systems, PASOLINK NEO. The company's say that one of the advantageous features of nec's PASOLINK NEO, as compared with other wireless access systems, is its ability to handle different transmission speeds and interfaces with the same platform.
