mobitel Slovenia's Q4 07 results show that it lost customers for the fifth successive quarter, finishing the year on 1.26 million. However, the loss was limited to 1.2% year-on-year, and given mobitel's dominant position in the Slovenian market this is not an overly worrying result in terms of the overall balance of power in the market. more

Four mobile phone networks are reported to be considering a bid to takeover Bulgaria's GSM network, MobilTel. The Austrian magazine, Profil said that Vodafone, TeliaSonera, Telenor and Telekom Austria are the interested parties and they could pay around $1.6 billion for the company. more
