Huawei Wins Managed Services Deal in Saudi Arabia

Huawei announced today that it has been selected by Saudi Arabia's mobily as its managed services partner under a three-year multi-vendor agreement. Under the agreement, Huawei will be responsible for network operations, back office, field operations, network optimization and spare parts management. Additionally, Huawei will be maintaining multi-vendor telecom equipment and acting on behalf of mobily to manage multi-vendor spare parts and 3rd level support.  more

Huawei PS-CN Helps Mobily Revs up HSDPA Deployment

Huawei says it has been selected to provide Packet Switched Core Network (PS-CN) for HSDPA deployment of mobily in Saudi Arabia. When completed, this will be one of the world's largest Packet Core installations and the company says that it is expected carry the highest data traffic of any network.  more

Huawei Completes Middle Eastern HSDPA Rollout

Huawei says it has successfully deployed what it says is the largest High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) network in the Middle East, for Etisalat in UAE. This network covers 97% of the populated areas in the country and Etisalat was able to support more than one million 3G end-users that signed up within the first five months of 2007. more
