Japan's UQ Communications has announced that it will launch a Mobile WiMAX network covering Tokyo (all 23 wards), Yokohama, and Kawasaki by the end of this month. The service will be sold under the UQ WiMAX brand name. more

Nortel Providing WiMAX Kit for Moscow Network
Russia based Comstar has selected Nortel equipment to develop the first mobile WiMAX network in Moscow. 160 base stations are expected to be built in Moscow by the end of 2008. The overall investments in the project are expected to amount to approximately US$20 million in 2008. more
