GSMA Endorses 3GPP's Integrated Mobile Broadcast Standard
The GSM Association says that it has endorsed a new 3GPP standard, Integrated Mobile Broadcast (IMB), which should enable spectrally-efficient delivery of broadcast services, based on techniques that are aligned with existing FDD WCDMA but also allowing deployment in TDD spectrum. This also allows for the smooth handover between IMB delivery and existing deployed technology. more
