Visa Makes NFC Mobile Point-of-Sale Payments Commercially Available

Credit card merchant, Visa has announced the launch of the world's first commercial Visa mobile payments service for point-of-sale transactions using Near Field Communications (NFC) technology. The service marks the first time consumers can purchase an NFC-enabled mobile device off the shelf and use that device to make Visa payWave-enabled transactions at the point-of-sale instead of using their payment card.  more

Visa Works with GSMA to Extend Access to Mobile Financial Services

Credit card merchant, Visa has announced plans to work with the GSM Association to advance the delivery of mobile financial services around the world. ViVOtech Provided NFC Provisioning Software for Phones Enabled with Visa payWave

Silicon Valley-based ViVOtech announced today that its provisioning software for Near Field Communication (NFC) mobile payments is being used in the first NFC mobile payment trial in Latin America led by Visa, in Guatemala.
