Sony Ericsson Shows Off New Walkman Phone
Sony Ericsson has shown off another Walkman branded mobile phone, and a Wireless Home Audio System. The W705 features the same sound quality as the W980 Walkman phone which was rated "best audio experience" in a trial conducted in Germany by TESTfactory. The W705 includes standard Walkman features such as the music recognition application TrackID, SensMe, for matching your mood to the music and Shake control to change tracks with the flick of your hand. more

New Mobile Music Bundle Could Attract 2 Billion UK Downloads
A report by TNS has found that within the UK alone, mobile phone owners could download 2.1 billion music tracks from the Sony Ericsson and Nokia music portals. With legal UK music downloads in 2007 standing at just 1.5 billion across all channels, the step-change that unlimited mobile downloads could bring will mean big business for mobile operators. more

Sony Ericsson Looking at Unlimited Music Downloads Service
Sony Ericsson is reported to be working on a mobile music service which would offer handset purchasers an unlimited download of music tracks. The move is expected to compete directly with the similar platform from Nokia which is just launching in the UK and offers 12 months worth of unlimited downloads with selected new handsets. more
