Half of U.S. Mobile Phone Users Access Mobile Content on a Weekly Basis
According to a new study released by research and consultation firm Frank N. Magid Associates, 51 percent of mobile phone users access internet based content using their mobile phone on a weekly basis. What's more, mobile content users spend about the same amount of time with content (39 minutes), as the average user does texting (38 minutes) or talking on their mobile phone (44 minutes). more

iPhone: Not a top 20 handset for browsing and buying on the mobile web
According to statistics released by mobile billing and analytics firm, Bango, when it comes to the most popular phones for browsing and buying content on the mobile web worldwide, the iPhone still sits outside the top 20. The Bango Top 20 handset list, based on Bango's February statistics, puts the Nokia 3110c on top, followed by the Samsung M800 in 2nd and the Nokia 6300 in 3rd. more

Orange has published the results of a survey commissioned to reveal the role of mobile media usage within the broader media landscape. The report, Exposure 2 consists of independent qualitative and quantitative research, following a survey of more than 2,000 mobile media users from across all UK mobile networks. The survey focuses on consumer consumption of mobile media, and attitudes towards it when used as a marketing channel - particularly in comparison to other traditional and digital media. more

Security risks rise as phones become smarter
An independent study commissioned by Airwide Solutions looked at the way mobile subscribers use their phones across five European markets - the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.
