Austria Gets Europe's First HSPA+ Mobile Data Network
Telekom Austria's mobile subsidiary, mobilkom austria, has become the first operator in Europe to launch HSPA+ services - offering a potential mobile data download speed of 21 Mbps. Sierra Wireless Launches HSPA+ USB Modems
Sierra Wireless has launched its first mobile broadband USB modems for HSPA+ networks. The new modems nearly triple the speed of other mobile broadband devices, with peak download speeds of 21Mbps. The Sierra Wireless USB 306 and USB 307 modems are expected to ship within the first half of this year. more

Telecom Italia Confirms 28Mps Mobile Download Speeds Within Months
Telecom Italia has confirmed that it will be offering mobile broadband connections speeds of up to 28 Mps in the first half of this year. HSPA+ technology, using Qualcomm chipsets, will roll out in the first half of next year in an initial Data Card offering for PCs enabling mobile internet connections at data rates of up to 21 Mps (5.7 Mps upload). more
