Taiwan Mobile has deployed a replacement mmsc from Comverse to upgrade and consolidate its multimedia messaging (MMS) service in Taiwan. Taiwan Mobile recently consolidated its three portfolio operators: Taiwan Cellular Corporation, TransAsia Telecommunications and Mobitai Communications, each of which had its own MMS solution from a different vendor, including one from Comverse. more

Russia's MTS (Mobile TeleSystems) has awarded LogicaCMG a US$7.3 million order, as part of the framework agreement signed with MTS in September last year. This new order builds on the first phase contract valued at US$5.6 million, which saw LogicaCMG upgrading MTS' existing LogicaCMG Short Message Service Centre (SMSC), and the deployment of LogicaCMG Wireless Service Brokers (WSBs) and Multimedia Messaging Service Centres (mmscs) in February this year. more
