Singapore Network Offers PrePay Mobile Data for Visitors
Singapore's MobileOne (m1) has launched a PrePay mobile data tariff which aimed directly at travelers to the country. The network operator said that the new service will provide a cheaper alternative to the broadband connection services provided at most hotels. The service will also benefit the occasional broadband users who do not wish to be tied to service contracts. more

Nepal Telecom Launches CDMA Network
Nepal Telecom says that it is starting to accept applications for its PrePay CDMA network, covering the Kathmandu Valley. Som Nath Bhattarai, manager of Kathmandu Regional Directorate of Nepal Telecom said on Wednesday that Nepal Telecom was planning to distribute the new lines, which would function restrictively in Bagmati zone before the end of August. more

Singapore Operator Sees Shrinking Subscriber Base
Singapore's MobileOne (m1) has reported that it ended last year with 1.246 million customers made up of some 809,500 postpaid customers and 436,200 prepaid customers. This is the first time that the company has reported a fall in its subscriber base. Whilst the contract customer base had risen slightly from 807,000 to 809,500 - the company say a significant fall in their PrePay base from 451,000 to 436,200. more
