SK Telecom Announces Winners of Nationwide LTE Network Deployment Contracts

­South Korea's SK Telecom has announced that it has awarded LTE network contracts to Samsung Electronics, lg-ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks. The company will begin providing commercial LTE services in Seoul by July this year and plans to expand the service to the Seoul metropolitan area and six other metropolitan cities by 2012. The service will become nationwide by 2013.  more

LG-Ericsson Chooses Azimuth Systems' ACE MX MIMO Channel Emulator for LTE Test

Azimuth Systems has announced that lg-ericsson has selected its ACE MX MIMO channel emulator for testing of its LTE eNodeB base station products. LG Ericsson's design validation team will use the ACE MX channel emulator primarily for interoperability testing, particularly as it relates to interoperability of LTE base stations with user devices.  more
