On Monday, the Indian government finally gave the go-ahead for mobile virtual
network operators (MVNOs) to enter the market. This follows a recommendation
back in August 2008 from India's regulator, the Telecom Regulatory Authority
of India (TRAI). The government is expected to release detailed guidelines for
MVNO entrants soon. We believe this approval will benefit both existing MNOs and
new entrants.
