HTC Launches iPhone Challenger Smartphone
Taiwan's HTC has announced the global launch of the HTC Touch, a new handset with touch screen navigation. The company says that the HTC Touch represents extensive research and development and the conviction that fingertip control will enable more efficient, natural and intuitive touch screen navigation. The HTC Touch offers a new and unique way of controlling touch screen-based devices by recognising and responding to the sweep of a finger across the screen. New Phones uses LCD Panel for Keypad
South Korea's Pantech Group has announced the launch of the IM-R200 handset, it's latest dual-lcd sliding phone equipped with an OLED touch-sensitive screen. Separated from its main lcd display, the new phone does away with the standard keypad in favor of a brand-new lcd-typed keypad. When sliding up, the virtual keypad shows up on the lcd that is touch-sensitive, allowing users to dial numbers and view contacts with a stroke of a finger. more
