LG See Profits Boosted by Foreign Exchange Gains and LCD TV Sales
LG Electronics has posted a 62% jump in Q2 net profit of KRW1.15 trillion (US$919 million), while sales rose by 13.8% to KRW 14.50 trillion (US$11.23 billion). The quarterly net profit was boosted by a KRW 285.7 billion in foreign exchange gains. The bulk of the rise was also attributed to the company's lcd television division. more

LG Electronics Gross Profits Up - but Hit by Currency Woes
South Korea's LG Electronics has reported a sharp jump in 3rd quarter profits to KRW 571 billion (US$537 million) - a 58% rise on a year ago. At the same time, sales rose by 21% to KRW 6.887 trillion (US$6.479 billion). The profit margin was 4.8%, 1.2%P higher than a year earlier. more
