Berg Insight forecasts 130 million mobile LBS users in Europe by 2014

A new report by Berg Insight predicts that the number of European users of mobile location-based services will grow from 20 million users in 2008 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of nearly 37 percent to reach 130 million users in 2014. Revenues from mobile location-based services (lbs) in the European market will grow by 34 percent annually to reach EUR622 (US$788) million in 2010, according to a new report from the research firm Berg Insight. Johan Fagerberg, senior analyst at Berg Insight, said that the market is picking up speed through successful launches of mobile personal navigation services and location based billing plans in several European countries. more
