Clearwire Launches WiMAX Network in Las Vegas
Clearwire has formally launched its WiMAX network in the Las Vegas region, covering 1.7 million residents across 638 square miles. In addition to the launch of the Clear service, the company also announced that, starting next month, it will offer the Clear 4G+ mobile USB, a dual-mode 4G/3G modem for customers who travel outside of WiMAX coverage areas that roams onto Sprint's nationwide 3G network. more

Clearwire Reports 1st-Quarter Loss of $71 million
US based WiMAX operator, Clearwire has reported a first-quarter loss of US$71.1 million, compared with a loss of US$76.4 million a year ago. Sales rose 21% to $62.1 million. The company added 25,000 new subscribers to end the quarter with just over 500,000 customers. more
