Israeli teenagers use SMS to spark political incident

A group of Israeli teenagers sparked a political incident yesterday after sending text messages from their cell phones to friends, claiming that the knesset Speaker, Avraham Burg was seriously wounded in an assassination attempt. Their messages resulted in the police being sent to the Speaker's house to see if he was still alive. The General Security Service and the knesset's chief security officer are investigating the case, although the teenagers blame the media for enlarging the situation.
