Malaysian Operator Launches HSPA Enabled 3G Network
Malaysian mobile network operator, DiGi Telecommunications has launched its HSPA network - covering Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Sunway and Bangsar. Customers in other key areas of Klang Valley will be able to experience DiGi's broadband service within weeks. DiGi plans to cover more than 1,000 zones at a minimum of 5 market centres by the end of this year. more

Malaysia's DiGi Telecommunications has launched its EDGE network upgrade in the Klang Valley. Siemens wins Malaysian EDGE contract
Siemens Mobile has been commissioned by mobile communications service provider DiGi Telecommunications to continue to provide EDGE technology on its network - now for the Klang Valley region to the north and south of Kuala Lumpur. Already in May 2003 Siemens was awarded the order to set up Asia's first commercial EDGE network for DiGi in the capital of Malaysia. more

Ericsson chosen for EDGE network upgrade in Malaysia
Ericsson has been selected by DiGi Telecommunications (DiGi) as a network infrastructure provider for its network upgrade to EDGE in the Klang Valley which includes the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. Ericsson will supply the necessary EDGE network infrastructure and equipment, including the upgrade of associated core network and supply of radio access equipment for the activation of EDGE. more
