Recession to cut mobile entertainment growth by nearly $13 billion over next 5 years

Growth in user spend on mobile entertainment services will slow dramatically over the next two years unless key markets emerge from recession, according to a new report from Juniper Research. Annual adspend on mobile search will reach $445m in 2008 - representing more than 34% of total mobile adspend - before rising to more than $2bn by 2013 says two new reports from Juniper Research. The reports found that as operators abandon the "walled garden" model, consumers were increasingly searching for content both on and off-portal, thereby providing a substantial target audience for advertisers.  more

Mobile streamed and broadcast TV services will become the most lucrative delivery channels for mobile advertising by 2010, according to a new report by Juniper Research.
