Hutchison Telecom Confirms Spin-Off Plans for Hong Kong Holdings

Hong Kong based Hutchison Telecom has reported a 16% rise in full-year revenues to HK$24 billion (US$3.1 billion) and an increase of 16.8% in EBITDA to HK$6.14 billion (US$791 million). Net income dropped precipitously to HK$1.88 billion (US$242 million) from the extraordinary HK66.8 billion a year ago - which was largely due to the one-off gain from the sale of its Indian interests to Vodafone.  more

Opera, which provides a java based mobile browser has reported that in January 2009, consumer Opera Mini use jumped 12.1% over the previous month to 20 million unique users. Monthly page views increased even more, jumping 18% to 7.6 billion Web pages in the same time period. T-Mobile and Nokia to Jointly Offer Ovi and Operator Services

Nokia and T-Mobile have announced plans to promote together their respective offering for widgets, applications and other content to provide customers with access to a range of Internet services.
