China's Mobile Subscribers Reached 426 Million by Q2 2006
Analysys International says that China's mobile communication subscribers reached 426 million by the end of the second quarter of 2006, increasing 4.08% quarter over quarter; China's total mobile value-added services (VAS) market reached RMB6.59 billion, increasing 5.76% quarter over quarter. more
Chinese WAP Usage Declines - report
China's overall mobile VAS market maintained a good growth momentum in Q3 2005 to reach US$600 million, nevertheless, WAP service declined substantially due to the recent consolidation move taken by China telecom operators, according to a report from Analysys International. According to Analysys International's research, affected by the operators' campaigns to eliminate sleeping users and enhance market regulation, China's WAP service in Q3 2005 had declined 18.3% compared with last quarter with revenue at RUS$154 million, which is almost the same as the size in Q1 2005. more
