iSkype Therefore iPhone

VoIP provider Skype has confirmed speculation and announced that it has launched a Skype application for the Apple iPhone, which will be available on the Apple App Store from today. The app also adds Skype calling and instant messaging to any second generation ipod touch with a compatible headset and microphone.  more

Gartner Expects 3G iPhone Within Months

Apple is reported to have placed an order for 10 million 3G models of its iPhone handset - according to Gartner analyst Ken Dulaney. He cites sources at Asian OEMs that the company has placed the order - in addition to a further order for 10 million of its current model.  more

Worldwide Semiconductor Revenue Increased 3 Percent in 2007

Worldwide semiconductor revenue totaled $270.3 billion in 2007, a 2.9 percent increase from 2006, according to preliminary results from Gartner. Vendor performances were mixed with two vendors in the top 10 that experienced double-digit growth and two vendors that showed declines in revenue.  more

Nortel: The dilemmas of wireless broadband adoption
