Vodafone Qatar has confirmed that its Initial Public Offering (ipo) that took place from 12 to 26 April was a phenomenal success. Raising US$1 billion, Vodafone Qatar's ipo was at the time of the close of the subscription period, the largest ipo in the world in 2009. For comparison, globally there have been 11 ipos of more than US$50 million per offering in 2009 that collectively raised US$2.1 billion in total. more
