Explosions Destroy Russian Cellphone Towers

Two cellphone base station towers have been destroyed in explosions in Russia's North Ossetia. The region which borders Georgia's South Ossetia, has been subject to some ethnic conflicts, and following the Beslan School siege, attitudes to central Moscow have hardened. The interfax news agency reported that no injuries occurred at the explosion near the villages of Kurtak and Dachnoye, citing local police. A second base station was destroyed in the regional capital, Vladikavkaz. more

Sistema Still Talking To Deutsche Telekom On MTS
