Nokia Adds Lotus Notes Support to Series 60 Handsets

Nokia has announced that it has added support for Lotus Notes email services to a number of Nokia's S60-based mobile phones. The service will enable users to connect to corporate email accounts via Lotus Domino Server software known as Lotus Notes Traveler. This software provides real time access to email, calendar, address book, journal and to-do list data and will be available for Nokia devices in December 2008.  more

Virgin Mobile USA Cuts 10% of its Workforce

Virgin Mobile USA has announced that it is cutting around 45 jobs - representing some 10% of its workforce, in its New Jersey and California offices. IBM Study Finds Consumers Prefer a Mobile Device Over the PC

ibm has released new survey results which claims that over 50 percent of consumers would substitute their Internet usage on a PC for a mobile device. ibm surveyed 600 consumers in the USA, China and the UK on their preferences regarding the mobile Internet., and found that communication, travel and navigation applications, as well as news and information services, are expected to increase significantly in popularity and usage over the mobile Internet.  more
