Austria Gets Europe's First HSPA+ Mobile Data Network
Telekom Austria's mobile subsidiary, mobilkom austria, has become the first operator in Europe to launch HSPA+ services - offering a potential mobile data download speed of 21 Mbps. OSS vendor, TTI Telecom has been chosen by Israel's Pelephone to provide the Fault Management solution for the operator's UMTS network. GSA Says Over 200 HSDPA Networks Worldwide
Over 200 HSDPA systems worldwide have launched commercial mobile broadband services, according to the latest research published by GSA, the Global mobile Suppliers Association. The GSA survey confirms 207 HSDPA networks have launched in 89 countries. This compares with 126 commercial HSDPA networks in 63 countries reported by GSA 12 months previously. more

Italian Mobile Communications: Market Ready to Face New Challenges
Italy has the highest 3G penetration in Europe and 3Italia achieved over 700,000 subscribers for its Mobile TV service by August 2007. Now iPhone is taking centre stage over the UMTS networks of mobile operators TIM and Vodafone.
