Italy has the highest 3G penetration in Europe and 3Italia achieved over 700,000 subscribers for its Mobile TV service by August 2007. Now iPhone is taking centre stage over the UMTS networks of mobile operators TIM and Vodafone. Mobinil Awarded 3G License in Egypt
Egypt's Mobinil has confirmed recent reports that it has been granted a 3G license by the Egyptian regulator, NTRA. Mobinil acquired the 15-year 3G license against EGP 3.34 billion (US$610 million) in addition to 2.4% of its total annual revenues. more
