GSMA-Led Task Force Defines Requirements for an Embedded SIM Card

Visa Works with GSMA to Extend Access to Mobile Financial Services
Credit card merchant, Visa has announced plans to work with the GSM Association to advance the delivery of mobile financial services around the world. As part of the continuing collaboration between the two organizations, the gsma has selected Visa as a provider for mobile money transfer solutions globally, and is working to execute an agreement to formalize participation terms. more

Pakistan Raises Taxes on Mobile Phone Calls
The state budget for Pakistan in 2008-2009 has increased the taxes paid on mobile phone services from 15 percent to 21 percent - which is also higher than the 16 percent for other industry sectors. GSM Association Aims for Global Point of Sale Purchases by Mobile Phone
The worldwide use of mobile phones for payments at point of sale is the aim of a new initiative announced by the GSM Association (gsma), the global trade organization for mobile operators.
